Felix will be talking about his research and work as the lead hardware engineer at Cortex, which is startup that develops brain-computer interfaces. He will discuss his transition from academia to creating his own startup, the challenges he faced and what he learned through that process.

Felix is an graduate student studying both chemistry and computer science at the University of Central Florida. When not studying or working on Cortex he is apart apart of a large-scale research project being conducted by the departments of Physics, Chemistry and the Nanoscience Tech Center at UCF developing theory and applications for DNA nanotechnology. Felix hopes to attend medical school to continue his education and practice in neurology and biotechnology after his undergraduate career.
